The International Women’s group was founded in 1986. Being a fundamental component of the association the group sees itself as a working committee where everyone, migrants or locals, are able to join. One of the major aims of the group is to get women out of isolation and enable them to make new connections to other women.
Solidarity is a fundamental principle of the women’s group. Newly arrived women receive assistance in finding relevant agencies such as the authorities, the employment agency or schools. Furthermore, the International Women’s group holds activities on a regular basis which are cost free to all members. Those activities can involve a museum visit, a visit to the Botanical Gardens, or any other events such as concerts.
The International Women’s group is looking forward to inventive, creative, organisational women who enjoy being part of the group. If you are interested, please contact us via email or join our upcoming meetings!
